Amina Arsakova, a Chechen photographer, was in a shopping mall when she came across a photograph of 11-year-old Amina Ependieva. The young girl’s appearance immediately piqued her interest and mesmerized her. Ependieva has albinism and heterochromia, which are both rare genetic conditions. And it’s because of these circumstances that she’s one in a million.

#1. Albinism causes a reduction in melanin pigment in the skin, eyes, and hair, whereas heterochromia causes a difference in iris coloration.
#2. Ependieva has both: white-blonde hair and pale skin, as well as one blue and one brown eye.
#3. Arsakova wanted to do a photo shoot with this lovely young lady, but getting in touch with her was difficult.
#4. She was able to locate her mother’s phone number after some searching. Following that, they scheduled a portrait session.
#5. “Amina Ependieva turned out to be a very nice and calm girl,” Arsakova tells
#6. The portraits are breathtaking. Ependieva is depicted in serene interior scenes in which she is seated in a neutral setting. The close-ups capture the young girl’s extraordinary beauty.
#7. Arsakova met Ependieva through image-making, but she still has a lot to learn about her.
#8. “Unfortunately, it was not at all possible to find out details about the features of her appearance,” she says
#9. “I hope that in the near future it will be possible to arrange a new photo-shoot with Amina Ependieva and chat in a relaxed atmosphere”
